Chains stores app data in Supabase and uses it only to run the social network experience.
What Chains stores
Account details, profiles, friend requests, friendships, messages, posts, reports, blocks, and uploaded profile/post images.
Where data lives
App records are stored in Supabase. Chains also stores a small amount of non-sensitive data directly on your device (in your browser's local storage) for things like your theme preference and whether you've dismissed onboarding prompts — nothing that identifies you or your content is stored this way.
Who can see what
Profiles are visible to signed-in members. Posts and messages are protected by friend and ownership rules.
Safety data
Reports and blocks are used to keep Chains safe and are visible to you and the owner where needed for review.
